Really, most weddings we shoot end up being our favorite wedding — at least for a little bit. You can't help but feel like an old friend when you've just spent an entire day with a couple, watching them with all their closest people, hearing stories from their lives, how they fell in love, the loving jabs, the happy tears. You get swept up. Every time.

Not everyone does an engagement session, and that's totally fine. They're not essential. But we love doing them for a few reasons. First, they're fun! It's just nice to go somewhere pretty at sunset and spend an hour walking around with a couple, chatting it up, getting to know each other. And that helps establish rapport, which is really nice to have going into wedding day. It makes the whole photography part of your wedding feel totally seamless.
