Kelsey and Spencer were married on a rarely mostly sunny spring day in Portland, Oregon, at the beautiful Castaway in North Portland. With sun being somewhat a rarity this time of year in Portland, I found myself constantly seeking out shade while everyone else in the city was happy to soak up the sun as long as they could while waiting for their family to be called for family photo time.

From the moment we walked into the bridal suite, Kelsey was as cool as a cucumber! I could tell the day would be fun and relaxed, which is our very favorite kind of day to photograph. The details of this wedding were simple, clean and elegant which went perfectly with the space. The Castaway was absolutely stunning, and we definitely hope to work there again soon!

For the first look, we got to to go the Pomarius Nursery which is situated right next door to the venue. It was super fun to play around in the greenery and greenhouse spaces, definitely a great way to start the day.

Spencer and Kelsey are a great match, that was clear from the start for us. Kelsey has a brightness and vibrancy that is balanced by Spencer’s kind and gentle nature. Their day was full of so much love and friendship- it was clear to both Tim and I that they had no trouble finding and surrounding themselves with wonderful people.
