High Desert Museum Homestead Wedding Inspiration

Bend Wedding Photographer – High Desert Wedding Inspiration

Who doesn’t time travel? As a kid, (and okay, still today) I was obsessed with it. Back to the Future was my favorite movie, and by age 15 I had reached an embarrassing point of fandom. Every year on our annual trip down to see my grandpa in Orange County I would beg my parents to take me to my very own Mecca: The Back to the Future ride at Universal Studios (it shut down since, don’t get me started) The Delorean wasn’t the draw for me, however, it was the idea of being immersed in a different time. That’s just one of the reasons I like this shoot.

This shoot is a little bit Little House on the Prairie and a little bit fresh and now. The vendors who worked on this project spent months researching turn of the century country decor, fashion and traditions. The High Desert Museum Homestead was the perfect location for this ceremony and reception. We even had one of the living history staff play the part of the officiant in her turn of the century garb.

With all of those elements, the shoot still felt real and true to today. We love how it all turned out.
