Megan + Garrett’s Hood River Wedding

Megan and Garret are those kind of clients that we love: immediately endearing, a little nerdy and, most of all, hopelessly in love. We immediately connected with these two when we shot their engagement session. Over drinks afterward, we learned so much about how this couple has supported one another through good times and bad.

Megan is a teacher, and Garret is a therapist, and although they are both dedicated to the important work they do, and don’t have oodles of time to spend together, they make each day count and fill their time together with fun and laughter.

So okay, we were fond of them… it’s true. We were super excited to shoot their wedding, but had no idea how perfect the day would be. It’s safe to say that they are officially on our list of favorite weddings of all time. The venue they chose is seriously the BOMB. Mt. View Orchards has incredible views and beautiful rows of apples for miles. Fresh peaches were placed at each seat, the food by Celilio Catering was INCREDIBLY delicious and beautifully plated and the music provided by John Ross was fun and unexpected.

These two had fun the whole day. At the ceremony there was singing and dancing to the tune “Home” by Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros along with a band of kazoo playing groomsmen with the help of John Ross. At the reception there were caricature artists, fresh peaches at each seat and, of course, heartwarming speeches. It was a good day, guys.

The whole day came together in such a perfect way for the two of them. It was playful, fun and heartfelt. We can’t say enough great things about Megan and Garret or their wedding. Gah… it was seriously the best!
